Description
The very ripe, already partly raisined pure Merlot grapes come from our oldest vineyard. Produced using the classic method of hand-grafting the grapes in wooden vats for at least 30 days. Pressed and racked into barrique barrels, where it matured on fine lees for a further 2 years. The wine is dark, ruby to brick in the glass. The aromas are rounded and direct, very ripe red fruits, prunes, cocoa. The merlot varietal is beautifully expressed both on the nose and on the palate. The wine has a very high ageing potential.
It will go well with grilled meat dishes, venison goulash and even a special chocolate dessert. Serve at a temperature of between 14-16 °C.
